Newsletter 2018 Term 4 Week 6

School Camp
Galston Gorge Crusader Centre provided a peaceful bushland environment and excellent facilities. The students participated in three activities: bike riding, low ropes and kite making. The students enjoyed each of these experiences and the opportunity to try something new. A highlight for many was also the indoor parachute games which were played in the evening.

We were very thankful to the four Year 10 students from Pacific Hills who came to provide extra support. The Pacific Hills and New Hope students enjoyed getting to know each other and participating in the activities together. The Pacific Hills students, Lachlan, Andrew, Kaitlyn and Melissa were amazing and also enjoyed the experience. The Crusaders staff provided an excellent program and related very well to the New Hope students and staff as they led each activity and accommodated for our needs.

Fundraising BBQ for India Mission
Thank you for your support today. Approximately $700 was raised to support the India mission trip in January. Please also pray for the team that will include Mr Francis, Mrs Crocker and Miss Hutchins and others from Pacific Hills.

Warm clothes in the morning
At this time of year the mornings can still be quite cool. We have had some students requesting a spare jacket or jumper from our office. Please remind your child to come to school with their jacket and jumper and ensure that it is clearly labelled with their name.

The Grinch
As indicated by an email that was sent to parents this week, we are planning an excursion to see The Grinch at Event Cinemas at Castle Hill in the final week of this term. The note for this excursion will be sent home early next week. It is planned for Tuesday 11 December.
