Newsletter 2018 Term 3 Week 4

Darling Harbour Excursion
This excursion is to be held on Wednesday 5 September. The bus will be taking us to Huntley’s Wharf where we will catch a ferry to Barangaroo Wharf. From there we will walk to Darling Harbour stopping for morning tea and a play on the equipment. We will then walk to the Chinese Garden of Friendship and experience this traditional Chinese garden with its waterfalls, exotic plants and lakes. After lunch we will then travel back to school by bus. Thank you to the many families that have returned the permission note for this excursion.

Choir Eisteddfod
Jed Perrin has been involved in the PHCS Senior Vocal group this year. On Thursday they participated in the Penrith Eisteddfod and on Friday 31 August the group will be participating in the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod. This has been a great opportunity for Jed to participate in an extra curricula activity and to get to know other students from PHCS.

Samaritans Purse
New Hope School will again be supporting the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal. Notes went home in bags this week with further details. Please send in items by the 14th September. Each box contains a variety of items such as something to love, to wear, for school, to play with, for personal hygiene, something special or a $10 donation. If you would like to pack your own box as a family, then please contact your class teacher or myself and a shoebox and further details will be sent home.
