Newsletter 2019 Term 2 Week 9 & 10

Hungry Jack’s / Final Swimming classes
Students in the Green and Blue swimming groups enjoyed their final swimming lessons on June 25 and July 2, respectively. We are thankful to Carlile Swimming Centre, Cherrybrook for their support and instruction to our students over the past two terms. The students showed improvements in their swimming ability and increased water confidence, and enjoyed themselves each week. They also enjoyed visiting Hungry Jack’s after their final swim, where they used skills in selecting and purchasing meals.

Thank you and Farewell Elle
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Elle Morris for her support and assistance at New Hope School over the past three years. Her final day will be Friday 5 July. We wish her and her family all the best as they make the move to Kathmandu, Nepal early next week.

Earn & Learn
We have earned more than 17,000 stickers so far! Thank you to all the families who have sent in their sticker sheets. We look forward to letting you know the resources that we select for our school.

Term 3
Term 3 commences for students on Monday 29 July. We hope the students enjoy a restful holiday break, and we look forward to seeing them when school resumes. Mrs Dowson will also return from leave on Monday 29 July.

Jeans for Genes Day
On Friday 2 August, staff and students at both Pacific Hills Christian School and New Hope School will be wearing Jeans to raise money to support genetic research through the Jeans for Genes campaign. A gold coin donation should be sent in with your child for collection on the day. A reminder that all other clothing items worn should be the usual winter school uniform.
