Newsletter 2019 Term 2 Week 6

Once again, the school is holding a pie drive to raise funds for New Hope School. You, hopefully, have received an email with all the details for ordering. They are delicious pies and will be delivered fresh to the school on Wednesday 3 July. If you would like to place an order follow the link in the email or order here: PIES . Once you have done this please let us know by emailing Elle in our New Hope office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) so that we can coordinate the collection of the pies. If you child travels home by ASTP, we can then ensure that the pies are sent home in their car.

Staff change
It is with some sadness that I let you know that Elle Morris (Admin Assistant) will be leaving us at the end of this term. Elle will be travelling to Nepal with her family to work with International Nepal Fellowship for about 18 months. We will miss Elle and are so thankful for her amazing support in our school office. We also wish her and her family well as they make this transition to a new country. I am sure they will be a great blessing to the people who they will work with in Nepal.
You can find out more about INF here.
We have recently interviewed applicants for this position and will be able to announce very soon who the replacement will be.

Woolworths Fresh Food tour
Next Thursday, many of the New Hope students will be attending an excursion to Woolworths Dural. The tour will include information about sustainability, waste management and also where many of the fruits and vegetables come from. After the tour, the students will be given an opportunity to purchase an item for morning tea which they will enjoy at Erlestoke Park at Castle Hill. We will return to school at about 12:30pm. Lunch, therefore, will be back at school.
The students can wear their sports uniform for this excursion. Please ensure that your child has some spending money for purchasing their morning tea item. They can also bring their own morning tea food if this is preferred.
N.B. the Year 12 students who will remain at school, will be having lessons as normal.
