Newsletter 2019 Term 1 Week 9

April is Autism Awareness Month
Next week, New Hope School will be raising awareness of Autism with the following events.
There is a fundraising sausage sizzle being run by the students of New Hope.  This is happening next Wednesday 3 April. The funds raised will be supporting Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). Thank you to the many parents who have offered to bake for this event.  Please feel free to send your child in with money for this if you would like to.  A sausage sandwich will be $3, soft drink $2 and cakes $2.
We will also be participating in the ASPECT Walk for Autism initiative. We will be challenging ourselves to each walk 5000 steps each day for 5 days, with some staff committing to 10000 daily steps. Some of the staff are planning to meet each morning before school from April 1 to 5 to walk together. By supporting this cause, we can help provide opportunities for people on the autism spectrum to participate, engage and thrive in the world around them. For more information or to join us, sponsor us, or share our page on social media, please click on the following link: Walk for Autism
Thank you for all the support so far.

Fun Run
The Fun Run is coming up on Tuesday 9 April, don’t forget the Sponsor Cards, funds from which will be used to support the Kenya Ambulance project and the Bible League International to provide Bible Resources to public schools throughout South Africa. Please get in touch with the office if you need another card.
