New Hope School Camp
Shortly you will receive information on a proposed NHS Camp to be held in Term 4. This will be an overnight camp to the Crusaders’ Galston Gorge Conference Centre. The camp aims to develop the students socially and spiritually and to increase their ability to think outside themselves and to work with and involve others more. We will be sending you a questionnaire soon to help us organise the best camp possible for your child!

CSSA Cross Country
Congratulations to Nathaniel and Cameron who will represent our school on Friday 1 June at the CSSA (Christian Schools Sports Association) Cross Country. Both boys really enjoy running long distances and have trained hard for the 3km run. We wish the boys the very best as they run.

Work Experience
Our Year 12 students, Heather and Nathaniel have been enjoying their Work Experience at Pacifica Café onsite at Pacific Hills Christian School. At present they are learning new skills at front of house - developing their communication skills with other staff and customers, table preparation/clearing and watering the plants. Both Heather and Nathaniel have eagerly taken on the challenge of a new experience working in an authentic workplace and already we can see their confidence has grown.

Plastic Lid Project
A past student of PHCS is raising awareness of plastic waste and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). She is collecting small plastic lids for a large scale wave sculpture called ‘Drowning in Plastic’. Students at NHS have the opportunity to assist in this campaign. We have a bucket in the NHS office where students can place any plastic lids like the ones found on bottles. This campaign will continue for the rest of this term. More information can be found here
