New Hope School turns 4

On Friday 15 March,we celebrated our fourth birthday. This date was chosen because on the 17 March 2015, New Hope School was officially opened by Mr Matt Kean MP Member of the Legislative Assembly and Member for Hornsby in the presence of Mr Gurdeep Singh, the Deputy Mayor of Hornsby Council. An official ceremony marked this occasion with parents, students and many Pacific Hills Christian School staff joining us. It was a wonderful event for our school and will be the date for our birthday celebration each year.

We marked our fourth birthday at our Friday assembly, with the students and staff enjoying looking at some photos of these last four years including some photos from 2015. Of the 7 students that were there on the first day, five students, Cameron, BJ, Daniel G, Xavier and Nathaniel, are still with us at New Hope School. We enjoyed looking at how the students have all grown. We also identified some changes in our buildings and staff. Dr Boyce also spoke and prayed with us at the assembly and reminded us how thankful we are of God’s blessings to the New Hope School community.

Anniversaries and birthdays are important occasions. They remind us about something or someone that matters to us. It gives a chance to look back and reflect on how we are affected by the event that is being remembered. As I reflect on the four years, I know that God has blessed families and students as well as members of the wider community.
